As the San Francisco hotel that’s closest to the Golden Gate Bridge, Lodge At The Presidio offers excellent views. But there’s lots more to love about the location, in the beating heart of Presidio national park. Today the Presidio offers forested hiking trails, bayfront biking paths, beaches and museums.
The 42-room hotel faces the Presidio’s Main Parade Ground, a sprawling lawn that hosts the popular Presidio Picnic on Sundays (March to October). The family-friendly event offers food trucks, live music, bar tents and free yoga.The PresidiGo shuttle bus, found only steps from the hotel, makes the five-mile journey to downtown for free.
