The events of 2020 have disrupted the fabric of life in a manner not seen for many years. Some see the year as demanding that we awaken from slumber; some see it as a call to come back to a compassionate perspective on the world. No matter how we look at the year, its tendrils have opened a new conversation. This holiday season is full of these complex emotions as new travel and social restrictions change every aspect of social behavior. Even though travel is restricted during this period, many people still have to leave home for business, medical, or other essential activities. The Lodge is open for these travelers and ready to provide a port of safety in the storm.
The Lodge at the Presidio has decorated its porches, lobbies, and decks with thousands of lights and foliage to create a message of peace and hope. Inside the hotel, the fireplace is warm and ready for a cozy evening in front of the fire. A sense of care pervades the Lodge at the Presidio, as travelers that enter the doors are coming in from a journey, into the warmth and light, and into the safety that has been the foundation of this haven for hundreds of years.
